Windermere brokers are passionate about supporting their community. Through every transaction they donate a portion of their commission to Windermere Eastside Foundation to support local families and children in need.

Grant Program

Windermere Eastside Foundation Grant Program provides grant packages to over 35 local organizations. These non-profits provide housing, food, clothing and financial support to low-income individuals and families. Our relationship with these non-profits has spanned over many years. With help from our brokers, we will continue to expand and increase our support.

Social service organizations that assist low-income and homeless families may apply for a grant through a local Windermere office. Please visit our website at Windermere.com for a complete list of Windermere offices by state. Each office has a Foundation Representative who will receive and review your application. Please contact the office for the name of their current Foundation Representative. It’s at the discretion of each office or group as to which programs (applications) they would like to support with their Foundation funds.

The Windermere Foundation is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization created by Windermere Real Estate for the purpose of raising and distributing funds to support low-income and homeless assistance programs for families throughout the Western U.S.

For our purposes, “family” is defined as a parent(s) or legal guardian with one or more child(ren) under the age of 18 in their care. All funds must be distributed through an eligible nonprofit organization and readily tracked back to the families and children being served. 

EXAMPLES OF PROGRAMS THAT ARE SUPPORTED:

- Rent assistance
- Utility assistance
- Food assistance
- Most programs assisting low-income and/or homeless children/youth
- Holiday assistance
- Job training
- Public school assistance (field trips, camps, instrument rentals)

Sponsorship and administrative expenses are not eligible for Windermere Foundation funds.

Deadlines are determined at the local level, so please contact your local Windermere office/rep and ask if they have any deadlines for applying. Grant amounts vary depending on the office you are applying through.

Scholarship Program

Windermere Eastside Foundation also supports educational advancement through scholarships. Over the past few years we have worked with local schools to award scholarships to low-income students, of all ages, requiring financial assistance in order to further their academic career.

The Windermere Eastside Foundation Scholarship is designed to encourage and recognize eligible students who show determination in seeking to continue their education, in conjunction with contributing to society through various forms of community service, especially in regard to the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless.

Priority is given to those students who themselves are at risk financially and without help of the Foundation might not continue their education. Students need not attend a four year college or university to receive this scholarship; any form of continuing education will be considered for the scholarship.

It is the Foundation’s belief that continued education is but one of many ways we at the Foundation can contribute to the eradication of homelessness in our community.

March Madness is our annual collective event to come together to increase our ability to help those that are struggling through monetary donations matched by the owners of the company.
